Struxture was appointed by DEECA to deliver the Horsham Seed Warehouse and Truck Depot, comprising a new seed storage warehouse and an open truck depot structure. The works were undertaken within an operational government environment requiring continuous access for DEECA staff, safe management of live roadways, and close coordination of traffic, plant movements and stakeholder requirements.
The scope included civil enabling works, bored piers, suspended slab construction, structural steel fabrication and erection, roofing and cladding installation, roller doors, stormwater and electrical upgrades, solar coordination, warehouse racking, and installation of turbine ventilators and louvres. Ongoing design development was managed in collaboration with DEECA, architects and engineering consultants.
The project was delivered in alignment with DEECA’s operational needs, with early steel fabrication and efficient erection enabling program certainty. Structural, civil and services packages were completed to specification, with ventilation, solar integration and warehouse systems installed as designed. Financial performance remained in line with tender expectations, and the completed facility provides DEECA with a modernised seed storage environment and afunctional truck depot supporting regional operations.
